Under Construction:  Brambleton Public Library

Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Brambleton Library

Loudoun County dignitaries and VIPs, including Supervisors and Library employees, as well as members of the press, Chesapeake Contracting Group, Inc. and The Brambleton Group L.L.C. were on hand Friday, February 24 for the official ground breaking ceremony for the new Loudoun County Public Library located in the Brambleton Town Center.  Crews have begun site development, and construction will soon follow on the 80,000+ square foot commercial office building that will house the library on the 1st and 2nd floors.  The Brambleton Group hired HGA Architects and has worked closely with Loudoun County Public Library’s staff to design a state-of-the-art facility providing next-generation technology.  General contractor, Chesapeake Contracting Group, Inc., anticipates completion of the building early next year before turning the space over to the library to finalize and open by mid 2018.  The Brambleton Group’s acceleration of this proffered amenity allows the library to open three years earlier.

Humans of Brambleton

This month we discovered a hip-hop artist living right here in Brambleton!  In fact, you can catch him in concert at the Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg, VA on Friday, March 10!  Tickets are $10 in advance / $15 at the door.

Yonas originates from New York City but moved to Brambleton 5 years ago.  Yonas is one of hip-hop’s most-hyped emerging artists.  Known for his incredibly unique style, the 30-year old makes it known that he is unlike anyone else in the game.  Fusing thought-provoking content and infectious melodies with crossover music production, Yonas has begun changing the face of music.  In just the past three years, Yonas has independently sold 100,000+ songs, 15,000+ albums, and has accumulated over 70 million streams digitally.  His albums have consistently reached Top 5 on the iTunes Hip Hop Charts, Top 25 on the overall iTunes Albums Charts, and Top 50 on the Billboard Hip-Hop charts.  The buzz generated from Yonas’ movement has also captured the attention of Mainstream Culture.  His song “Fall Back” was featured in the major motion picture The Place Beyond The Pines, leading to similar song placements in major campaigns with Warrior Sports, Pepsi, and Fuse TV.

We caught up with Yonas for an interview before heading out on his nationwide tour which ends at the Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg, VA on Friday, March 10!
