DC ranks #1 on EPA’s list of cities w/ the most ENERGY STAR buildings in 2014

Every year, EPA ranks metro areas according to which had the most ENERGY STAR certified buildings in the past year. See how far these cities have come since 2008, when Los Angeles was the only city to have more than 200 buildings earn EPA’s ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance!

Metrorail will remain open until 3 a.m. on New Year’s Eve (early New Year’s Day) for the benefit of holiday revelers with free rides on Metro from midnight until system closing courtesy of Miller Lite®.

The county continues to prepare for the arrival of rail service and the opening of two Loudoun County Metro stations, Loudoun Gateway (formerly known as Route 606) and Ashburn (formerly known as Route 772).  Service to the Loudoun Gateway and Ashburn Stations is expected to begin in 2020.
