Upcoming Events

Race Brambleton Series – Upcoming Events

The Race Brambleton Series was inspired by the many runners in the community who make use of the trails. It began in 2013 with the idea of promoting several family-friendly events throughout the year to include 5Ks, 10Ks and even a Kids’ Triathlon. In addition, the series promotes a Triple Crown Finisher medal, which is custom-made each year and is awarded to participants who complete at least three races in the series. There’s still time to get your Triple Crown, as three races remain this year:

  • Two By Four Race Against Childhood & Canine Cancers – Sunday, October 1: Your involvement will help to further critical research that can move the needle towards better medicines and a cure. 100% of net proceeds will go to support the work of the Canines-N-Kids Foundation and Smashing Walnuts Foundation in their missions to fight cancer in our most vulnerable populations – children and man’s best friend. Register here.
  • Zombie Run – Saturday, October 28: Are you a runner or are you a zombie? You choose! In this slightly scary timed 5k race, you can race through our tunnels and trails dodging zombies or you can live out your nightmares of being a zombie and chase runners while you try and eat their brains (or flags in this case). Learn more and register here.
  • Lace Up For Learning – November 11: This family-oriented fundraising event encourages a healthy lifestyle and engages local communities in support of their schools. Race benefits Brambleton’s schools (Creighton’s Corner, Legacy, Moorefield Station, Brambleton & Stone Hill Middle, and Briar Woods & Rock Ridge High). The more who run for a school, the more money the school gets! Learn more and register here.

Tenant Spotlight:  The UPS Store

Did you know? The UPS Store has the card stock to make your special occasion cards look great! Simply email your design and they’ll do the printing: store5505@theupsstore.com.

You probably associate The UPS Store with shipping your holiday packages, or the place that magically takes your returns and erases the errs of a disastrous online shopping spree; but they’re here to help in many more ways! Steve and Lorraine Kellam have owned and operated Brambleton’s The UPS Store since 2005 (did you know they were the first store to open after Harris Teeter). Then they grew and obtained their second store in South Riding. And now, building upon their past success, they have just recently opened a third store in Ashburn at Junction Plaza Shopping Center. They enjoy helping the community through sponsoring local events and charities. Their most recent charity was collecting and shipping donations to Hurricane Harvey victims. Stop in to meet the Kellams, or their friendly staff, at any of their three stores.

Dentistry From The Heart: Giving Back In Our Community

A big thank you goes out to the generous teams of dental professionals from Costa Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Northern Virginia Orthodontics, as well as many other area dentists who volunteered their services for the local Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) event on Saturday, September 16 here at the Brambleton Town Center. DFTH is a worldwide nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free dental care to those in need. Every year, thousands of individual dentists, hygienists, volunteers, and hundreds of practices across the world donate their time and resources to host their own DFTH events. Brambleton’s event was able to provide over 60 patients from northern Virginia and Maryland with necessary dental services they would otherwise have not been able to afford.
