BRAMBLETON BUZZ: LATEST NEWS & EVENTS IN LOUDOUN COUNTY

For the Hamidi Family, Brambleton is Simply the Tops!

Khalid and Shabnam Hamidi and their two daughters have only lived in Brambleton for a couple of years, but to meet them, you’d think they’d lived here for decades and have been appointed official ambassadors to one of the most popular planned hometowns in the nation.

The Hamidis moved to Brambleton in July of 2018. The home they chose – and Brambleton – put them on top of the world.

“This home had the most outdoor space!” says Khalid. “The large doors leading onto the covered deck on the middle floor, as well as the entire rooftop deck, were the major selling points. Our favorite space is definitely our rooftop,” he says. The family loves cheering on the fireworks every summer during Red White and BRAM from their rooftop vantage point.

It’s also nice to have an extra room where Shabnam has established her work-from-home office, and Khalid’s commute to Fort Belvoir is made easy because of Brambleton’s proximity to Route 50.

The best part of life at Brambleton for the Hamidis, though, is when work time ends and play time begins. The girls love the library, the biking trails and pools, and the whole family enjoys the weekend Farmer’s Market and the annual Neighborhood Campout in Legacy Park. Mom and Dad love getting together for after-work drinks with other parents on their block while all of the kids play in each other’s yards facing the promenade that leads to the Town Center. Plus, there’s the convenience of grocery shopping, movies, salons, specialty boutiques and – the girls’ favorites, TWO ice cream shops – all walking distance from home in the Town Center. It’s old-fashioned, hometown living in a modern world.

“I can’t tell you how many times I have run out of sugar or something else while cooking, and have sent a group text to my neighbors and received what I needed on my front steps within minutes,” says Shabnam.

Now more than ever, home is where the heart is, and the Hamidi family has boundless love in their hearts for where they live. From their rooftop deck over morning coffee or sunsets after dinner, they can see beautiful horizons ahead for many years to come here in Brambleton, Virginia.
