Find a Classic American Summer Right Here in Loudoun County

As soon as that last school bell rings in June, we shift into summer mode in Brambleton. The constant drum of school activities, sports, and extracurriculars begins to slow down a bit, and we relax into that nostalgic ease of summertime.

But that doesn’t mean summer is without lots to do! At Brambleton, the idyllic vision of childhood comes alive, with everything from pool days to camps to library programming, classic ice cream shops, and fun in the park. This is a community where you can trust that your children will have a safe space to explore their interests, cool spots where they can hang out with their friends, and lots of structured activities for those days when they need a routine.

Learning is So Much More Than Books at the Library

Brambleton Library is a place where people fall in love with learning, but it’s also so much more. This is a state-of-the-art institution where education meets entertainment meets an interactive approach.

Summer is the perfect time for kids to experience the Makerspace, where they’ll find everything from 3D printers to sewing machines to a music recording and editing studio.

Children, teens and adults are all eligible to participate in the Rock at the Library 2024 Summer Reading Program. Complete 10 challenges involving reading, attending library events, or utilizing online and streaming services by August 16th to earn a free book, tickets to a Washington Nationals game and an entry into the grand-prize drawing.

Kids’ Camps Spark Lifelong Hobbies

Is your child eager to dig deeper into their favorite activities? At Brambleton, they can find summer camps that let them have fun, see what sparks their creativity, and even discover hobbies they’ll take with them for a lifetime.

At Bella Ballerina, weeklong themed dance camps are offered throughout the summer for tiny dancers ages 3 to 9. In addition to twirling across the dance floor, there will be arts and crafts, storytime, mini manicures, surprise visits from characters (Elsa, perhaps?), and more.

Dragon Yong-In Martial Arts has summer camps throughout the summer where kids not only get to burn energy kicking and chopping their way through a karate class, but they’ll also experience climbing the rock wall, bouncing around the bounce house, and taking field trips to places like Harpers Ferry, Leesburg Animal Park, and the Purcellville Library.

Want your child to have an even more niche camp experience? Through the Brambleton Community Association, your child can hone their skills in tennis, engineering, drama, chess, and even stitching.

Then there’s the World Odyssey – Olympic Summer Adventure run through Cadence Education, where your kids will find a balance between learning and fun, keeping them safe and having fun while preventing the summer slide. There’s also Chesterbrook Academy® Day Camp where kids will work on everything from math skills to building rockets, performing on stage, and creating digital art. And Best Brains Summer Camp is a wonderful outlet for parents who want to immerse their K-8 grade kids in half or full days of creative writing, science, public speaking and other education-forward camp curricula.

Fun Knows No Bounds at Hanson Park

From picnics in the park to meeting friends for a pickup soccer game, the 257 acres that make up Hanson Park are the perfect place for little ones to run around and just be kids. Located within walking distance to many Brambleton neighborhoods.

With walking trails, a skate park, soccer, baseball, cricket, and softball fields, tennis courts, Pickleball courts, a disc golf course, playgrounds, a splash pad, and more, children will never run out of activities to try. Take the whole family on the weekends and host your own field day if you’re feeling adventurous!

Make a Splash at the Pool

Brambleton Corner Pool

Is there anything better than that first cannonball into the pool on a hot July day? Or meeting your friends for a quick dip in the late afternoon? Whether you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids on the weekend or they’re chomping at the bit to join the swim team, Brambleton is the place to be. With multiple pools across the community, including the 8-lane lap pool at Brambleton Corner Clubhouse and Pool or the toddler-friendly splash pad at the Stratford Landing Pool and Splash Park, you’ll never find a shortage of places to dive into the sparkling water.

Plus, the newest community pool just opened at Brambleton Crossing. This is the place to be this summer, with a water slide, outdoor showers, and other fun water activities.

End a Summer Day on a Sweet Note

Of course, there’s nothing better than a cold Cold Stone Creamery ice cream cone on a 90-degree afternoon or strolling over to Brambleton Town Center for a frozen yogurt or bubble tea after dinner. And what kid doesn’t love meeting their friends to walk around and take their allowance to Sweet Frog, hoping to load up on as many toppings as possible?

Whether it’s ice cream, signing up for a camp, spending a mid-summer day at the pool, or encouraging summer learning at the library, it’s all at Brambleton. This is the place where summer memories are made. Find a home where you don’t spend summer wishing you were on vacation — your vacation is right here.
