As the latest slew of ads hitting TV and the internet will tell you, Back to School season is coming around again to Brambleton. But don’t panic! There’s still plenty of time between now and August 29th (when Loudoun County Public Schools kick back into gear) to get supplies together and have a little more summertime fun. We’ve come up with the following survival guide just for the occasion.
Enjoy a Flick — and Air Conditioning — for Just a Dollar
There are two more chances to catch Regal Cinemas’ popular Summer Movie Express. August 16th and 17th mark the final films of the $1 family-friendly film viewings. Gather the family and catch two special showings each of The Croods and Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, practically for free!
A Sweet Way to Cool Off
Stop by Sweetfrog at the Brambleton Town Center to pick up a reward for crossing off every item on your Back to School list, or for just a fun and tasty way to beat the heat. Yogurt flavors range everywhere from the classics (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry), to the deliciously unconventional (maple bacon donut, toasted marshmallow, french toast).
Celebrate Johnny Rockets’ 30th Anniversary!
The beloved retro diner rang in a milestone birthday on June 6th, and is still celebrating well into August! Take advantage of the occasion with these coupons for 10% off your meal of $25 or more, along with a free junior shake with any purchase of a $25 gift card. These deals are only for Brambletonians, and will only be available until September 30th!
Summer Concert: Here’s to the Night
Concert starts at 7 PM, doors open at 6 PM
Brambleton Town Center
Remember the 90’s? Well, Here’s to the Night sure does. Based in Baltimore, this fun-loving cover band is stopping by Brambleton for a night of hyper-energetic songs that are guaranteed to take you back to your high school (or in some cases, childhood) experience. Bust out your plaid shirt and butterfly clips, and get ready to reminisce about your favorite boy band. Here’s to the Night is leaving no 90’s stone unturned.
Whether your child is getting an early start on the school year, or kicking off a fun outside-the-classroom hobby, August is the perfect time to take a music or dance lesson — at a discount! Recreational dance program Bella Ballerina is offering one session for 50% off with any new student registration, and A&A Music is giving away one free lesson for new students who pay for four private lessons. These are both great, affordable (and fun!) ways for your kids to express themselves!
It’s not too late to enjoy Brambleton’s seemingly endless array of bike paths and trails before school starts. Get lost in one of the parks, take a trip to the Brambleton Corner Pool or discover a new route back home from the Brambleton Town Center. With the 5th Annual Brambleton Kids Triathlon coming up on September 10th, this is the perfect time to practice building up some endurance, have fun and enjoy the outdoors!
